Programme and University Requirements

The Bachelor of Environmental Studies is a four-year direct honours programme. Its interdisciplinary nature requires students to acquire a strong foundation in environmental issues through a two-year, broad-based curriculum as they complete courses in biology, chemistry, economics, geography, law, management, math, policy, public health and statistics. Students matriculated in AY2020/2021 and before will then specialise in either Environmental Biology or Environmental Geography in their 3rd and 4th years. Students matriculated in AY2021/2022 onwards do not have a specialisation as they undertake the BES XDP curriculum.

The table of requirements below only applies to students matriculating in AY17/18 to AY20/21.
